Allegri's future unclear after Milan's loss to Fiorentina

Milan, Nov 12 (IANS) The future of AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri is in doubt following his side's 1-3 home loss to Fiorentina.

What is noticeable is the absence of club vice president Adriano Galliani's public defence for the coach, reports Xinhua.

Galliani did not speak to the media after the match at all, which was an unusual move. It is rumoured he is waiting to speak with president Silvio Berlusconi before giving any more statements on Allegri's future.

If Allegri is sacked, then assistant manager Mauro Tassotti is expected to be promoted in his place.

Milan are in 13th place, just five points clear of the relegation zone and 12 points adrift of the Champions League spot.
