It Sangwan's first win of the season out of five outings which included two second place finishes at Rajasthan Junior Open and the Karnataka Juniors.

Sangwan said: "It was a good day. I got a little lucky even though I missed a few putts, but it worked out for me in the end. It was especially good for me because I had to power through severe cramps post the 13th hole."

Sharma, who finished overall second and first in the under-18 category said:

"I was playing well. I was leading my group with a score of 3-under par at one point. I had a good shot, but hit the floodlight on the 18th and that set me back."
